Bassist Willie J. Campbell played with many greats includng The James Harman Band, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and more. In addition to numerous nominations, he received a BMA for record of the year. Willie J. was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) in March of 2022; on December 18 he passed away peacefully at home. His presence will remain in our souls and as Willie J. would say, "Be cool."
